Within architecture, a deck occurs as constructed flat surface capable of supporting weight, similar to the floor but typically constructed open air & commonly (though non universally) attached to the building. A term occurs as generalization of decks as found in ships.
The deck of the house is generally a wooden platform built above the ground & attached to the independent building. These are usually enclosed by the railing, for safety. Access can be from either the home, across a sliding door or French doors, and/or from a ground via stairs. Residential decks come typically constructed across areas of steep or even rough in ground that is otherwise unuseable.
Big buildings will as well use at times decks designed around, in which an upper segment of the building has the little cross-section than the moo a portion. For instance which are actually open to the public when observation decks.
